June NPD – Xbox 360 hits 30 consecutive months as #1 console in the U.S.

Halfway through 2013 Xbox 360 maintains its lead in the U.S. console market.  Xbox 360 sold 140,000 units, more than any other console in the U.S., making June the 30th consecutive month Xbox 360 was the best-selling console in the U.S.

June 2013 NPD highlights:

  • Total retail spend on the Xbox 360 platform in June (hardware, software and accessories) reached $197 million, the most for any console in the U.S. (Source: NPD Group, June 2013)

  • During the month of June, Xbox 360 held seven of the top 10 console game titles including: “Minecraft,” “NBA 2K13,” “Injustice: Gods Among Us,” “Deadpool,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” “Grand Theft Auto IV” and “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” (Source: NPD Group, June 2013)
