As we move deeper into the holiday season, many of us have been pushed back inside by the winter weather spreading across the country.  In between the shopping and parties, people are hooking up their new game console and buying new games.  You might be fighting off the zombie apocalypse or navigating the intrigues of ancient Rome, but with the launch of the Verizon FiOS TV app for Xbox One you could also be navigating and watching all your favorite shows and movies on your new Xbox One.

Today, our partnership continues to expand with Microsoft as customers who are
Xbox Live Gold members and who subscribe to both FiOS TV and Internet service can watch up to 74 live channels through Xbox One using the free FiOS TV app.  No additional hardware is required, and customers can integrate their TV experience with voice and gesture commands through Kinect for Xbox One. Just last month, we revealed the results of our FiOS Innovation Index, which surveyed over 900 consumers, asking about their tech and console interests.  Nearly two-thirds of our respondents said they want to watch streaming video on their game console.  Verizon listened, and now the FiOS TV experience is available right now on your Xbox One!

So now switching from a first person shooter to your personalized Verizon FiOS TV subscription is easier than ever.  No matter what you’re doing on Xbox One, just say “Xbox go to Verizon FiOS TV.” It’s playoff season and if you want to watch two big games at the same time you can tap into your Verizon FiOS cable box using HDMI pass through and the TV app for game one and then snap the Verizon FiOS app to watch game 2 at the same time.

With its blazing fast Internet speeds ranging from 50/25 Mbps to 500/100Mbps and award winning reliability, Verizon offers gamers an enriched experience that helps them make it to the top on Xbox Live Gold as well as best in class entertainment experience with FiOS TV.

If you haven’t had the chance to enjoy FiOS TV on your console, there’s no better time to try! For the latest news around FiOS, visit
