Red Bull TV and WWE Network Bring Heart-Pounding Action to Xbox 360

This week, two action-packed new apps hit Xbox 360. Starting today, eye-popping entertainment from the world of Red Bull TV is available on Xbox 360 in all Xbox Live markets. Yesterday, we introduced the new and improved WWE app for Xbox 360 in the U.S., just in time for the launch of the WWE Network.

Red Bull TV specializes in high-quality programming that takes you behind the scenes and up close and personal with inspirational stories, people and lifestyles in sports, music, and culture. All Red Bull TV films, shows, clips and live programs are available to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360 around the globe at no additional cost.

Live programming and events are an important part of Red Bull TV and the fun begins right away with a few standouts airing soon:

  • Red Bull Air Race: Watch in real time as the world’s best pilots put it all on the line at the Red Bull Air Race in Abu Dhabi. It’s the inaugural contest of the World Championship season and the first since the popular series went on hiatus three years ago – so to say that the contenders are raring to go is an understatement. (Live in most regions on March 1, on demand March 3 in the U.S.)
  • Red Bull Crashed Ice: On March 8, cameras will be rolling in freezing Moscow for Red Bull Crashed Ice, the next-to-last stop for the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship. It’s not only the fastest sport on skates; it’s a contact sport, too. Insanely fun to watch. (Live in most regions.)

Red Bull Air Race Abu Dhabi is one of the live event programs featured on Red Bull TV for Xbox 360.

In addition to a calendar full of live events throughout the year, Red Bull TV on Xbox 360 gives you access to an impressive library of on-demand programming in HD. You can check out video clips, action features and episodes from Red Bull TV original series uploaded to the app daily. With Red Bull TV on Xbox 360, you can curate playlists for continuous play and kick back to watch one video after another.

A wide variety of sports programming is also offered on Red Bull TV and can be explored anytime. For example, the “Life Behind Bars” Web series starts its third season on March 11, taking you along on a freeride journey with mountain bike star Brandon Semenuk and his crew. Unique stories from the culture scene are served up too, including the “Break’n Reality” series that provides an insider’s look at the private worlds of talented breakdancers – the planet’s best B-Boys.

A new and improved WWE app launched on Xbox 360 in the U.S. yesterday so Xbox Live Gold members get to see the WWE Superstars and Divas like never before.

Announced in January, WWE Network is a new 24/7 streaming service that brings you all your favorite scheduled programming in addition to an on-demand library and access to all 12 WWE live pay-per-view events, including the upcoming WrestleMania 30 in April. New content will be added regularly, including a live daily show coming this summer and more video-on-demand. You can watch replays of the Best of Raw and Smack Down, as well as live content from before and after the show. With a $9.99 per month subscription and a six-month commitment, WWE gives you the best of what’s new and old with classic matches that are uncut and uncensored, and new in-ring shows.
