gamescom 2015: ID@Xbox is Prepared to Make a Splash on Windows 10

Xbox One continues to be the home for innovative games from independent developers of all shapes and sizes, thanks to our successful ID@Xbox program. We launched it in August 2013 – and it’s been completely freaking awesome seeing the breadth and quality of independent games. Since then, we’ve received amazing feedback and participation from the community. We’ve provided development kits to more than 1,000 development studios, and we’ve launched games such as Outlast, #IDARB, The Escapists, Magic Duels: Origins and Goat Simulator. And fans have a lot more to look forward to: more than 150 new ID@Xbox titles are coming in the next 12 months.

We also revealed more than 30 independent games coming to Windows 10 at gamescom this year, including Team17’s Worms WMD, Ron Gilbert’s Thimbleweed Park, Team17’s Sheltered, Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few, and Inti Creates’ Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Other indie games coming soon to Windows 10 include Studio MDHR’s Cuphead, inXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 2, Frogshark’s Swordy, Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight, 11 bit studios’ This War of Mine, Digital Extremes’ / nSpace’s Dungeons & Dragons: Sword Coast Legends and many more.

With the expansion of ID@Xbox to Windows 10, we’re excited about the opportunity to provide developers with a streamlined path to creating games across multiple devices, and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon. We’re just getting started!
