HUNT the TRUTH Audio Series Season 2 Starts Today, as Launch of Halo 5: Guardians Approaches

Based on the award-winning video game franchise, the acclaimed Halo podcast series that amassed more than 6.7 million listens and ranked as high as #1 in Video Games and Games & Hobbies on the iTunes Podcast Charts is back, as Season 2 of HUNT the TRUTH premieres today on huntthetruth.tumblr.com, iTunes Podcasts and Soundcloud at 11 a.m. PT

Again featuring an all-star cast, Season 2 begins shortly after the events of Season 1, as journalist Benjamin Giraud’s exposé of a massive military cover up and conspiracy seemingly came to an inauspicious end. Keegan Michael Key reprises his role as the now-discredited journalist, but the focus of Season 2 turns to FERO (voiced by Janina Gavankar), the rebel leader who helped Giraud unravel his hunt.

“In Season 1, Giraud was like an active audience member within the fiction,” said Frank O’Connor, Franchise Development Director at 343 Industries. “He was piecing together facts and false truths from week to week as he was pulled along and redirected by various sources, and in the end, we still left a lot of open questions – mainly, who could he actually trust? In Season 2, we’re taking the hunt further, from the perspective of probably the most credible of those sources – FERO.”

Fans eagerly awaiting the Oct. 27 release of Halo 5: Guardians should tune in as events in the audio series build toward the story that will unfold in the game. “While the first season dealt with subterfuge and espionage at the fringes of the game events, Season 2 will lead directly into the galaxy-shaking mysteries of Halo 5: Guardians,” said O’Connor.

In addition to Gavankar (True Blood, The League, Mysteries of Laura) and Key (Key & Peele, Pitch Perfect 2), Halo developer 343 Industries has once again brought on A-list voice talent to bring the series to life, including: Mark Hamill (Star Wars, Kingsman), Tamara Taylor (Bones, Justice League), Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Serenity), Bruce Thomas (Kyle XY, Halo 4), Jerry Trainor (iCarly, Donnie Darko), Rosa Salazar (Maze Runner, Insurgent), Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy, Spy), Vanessa Marshall (Metal Gear Solid 2, Star Wars Rebels), and William Salyers (Mass Effect 3, Sunset Overdrive).

Halo 5: Guardians is available on Oct. 27 exclusively on Xbox One. Pre-order and additional game information is available at www.xbox.com/halo.
