Lara’s Journey Brought Magnificently to Life in Limited-Edition Rise of the Tomb Raider Poster Series

Back in July, we announced a limited-edition series of Rise of the Tomb Raider-inspired posters, designed and drawn by four very different and talented artists, each highlighting one of the game’s unique and thrilling themes.

The first, created by comic book artist Geof Darrow was inspired by Rise of the Tomb Raider’s tense woman-versus-wild nature; the second, designed by the award winning London design studio, La Boca, celebrates both Lara Croft as she ascends to her destiny and the tombs that she explores; the third, available now to fans who preorder from Gamestop, was crafted by Frank Kozik, CEO of Kid Robot, and the legendary artist responsible for some of the most iconic music posters around, and showcases the game’s “guerrilla warfare” theme in his unique trademark style.

Today we’re pleased to debut the fourth and final poster in the series created by critically acclaimed New York City-based artist, Tara McPherson. Check it out in all its glory above. Her work typically includes characters that exude an idealized innocence with a glimpse of hard earned wisdom in their eyes, so it’s natural that her interpretation of Lara’s Journey in Rise of the Tomb Raider features a piercing image of Lara Croft. Once called the “crown princess of poster art,” her work includes gig posters for bands such as Beck, Mastodon and Modest Mouse, just to name a few.
