Xbox at E3 2016: It’s Right Around the Corner!

It’s almost here: E3 2016 kicks off Monday, with all of the biggest game developers and publishers converging on the Los Angeles Convention Center to bring out the most awesome game reveals and announcements of the year.

Here at Xbox, we’re hard at work getting ready for the big show. We’ll be kicking things off with the Xbox E3 2016 Briefing, which you can watch live beginning on June 13 at 9:30 a.m. PDT, on Xbox.com, the Xbox Twitch Channel, YouTube, Facebook Live, via the Xbox Live Events Player on Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, or on the big screen at your local Microsoft store. You can also watch the Xbox E3 2016 Briefing on Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada at 9:30 a.m. PDT (or 12:30 p.m. EDT for you east coast dwellers!).

We’ve also got Xbox Daily: LIVE @ E3, our live news show that covers all things Xbox at E3. It airs on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. PDT, and can be streamed live on Xbox One, on Xbox.com (both on your desktop and on mobile), on Xbox 360, and on the Xbox Twitch Channel. Jessica Chobot and Julia Hardy will be joining our own Larry Hryb (Xbox Live’s Major Nelson) and Graeme Boyd (Xbox Live’s AceyBongos) as hosts of the show.

You’ll also be able to catch an Xbox Briefing Post-Show Special with Geoff Keighley and other surprise guests on the YouTube Live @ E3 show. The dedicated 30-minute Xbox show kicks off Monday, June 13 at 4:00 p.m. PDT, and will take a deep dive into some of the hottest news coming out of our briefing.

One of the coolest things we’ve got going on at E3 is our second annual Xbox FanFest, where 500 lucky Xbox fans will get an up-close-and-personal experience with the gaming industry’s biggest showcase. Xbox FanFest: E3 2016 kicks off Monday, June 13, and runs through Wednesday, June 15.

Here are the rules. First: You’ll need to be over the age of 21, and have an Xbox Live Gamertag. Next, you’ll need to get a first-come, first-serve ticket. Fans can start lining up at the Microsoft store at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles starting on Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 p.m. PDT. The Microsoft store is located at 10250 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA.  the lineup will take place near the Food Court, located on level 2. Fans need to remain in line for the duration of the lineup until doors open on Sunday, June 12th, at 11:00 am.

In the event more than 500 people arrive at the same time when the line opens at 10:00 pm (than we have FanFest Tickets), we will randomly select the lucky winners.  Be sure to hit the official Xbox FanFest: E3 2016 page for complete details and an FAQ.

In addition to already announced goodies – like entry into the Xbox E3 2016 Briefing and a custom-built backpack full of gaming swag – those 500 lucky FanFest attendees will be invited to a special Forza Motorsport event at the Petersen Automotive Museum on the afternoon of Monday, June 13, as well as a can’t-miss “Fan Celebration” event on the evening of Tuesday, June 14 at the Premiere House at Regal LA Live. And there might be even more surprises during the week!

These are just a few of the E3 activities that Xbox has planned; we’ll also have plenty of announcements, game previews, and other awesome stuff, so stay tuned to Xbox Wire for all the latest on E3 2016.
