Take the Fight Below the Streets in Tom Clancy’s The Division – Expansion 1: Underground

Tom Clancy’s The Division is about to get a lot deadlier when it takes the fight below the streets of New York City. The game’s first paid expansion, Tom Clancy’s The Division –  Expansion 1: Underground, launches today, first on Xbox One and PC – and it brings new loot, new challenges, and a whole new type of game mode.

The expansion’s new Underground mode puts you and your team in the subways and underground tunnels of New York City, where your enemies have set up shop in the tunnels – and it’s up to you to hunt them down. Each mission features a randomly generated layout, adding a bit of a roguelike flavor to the hybrid shooter/role-playing game.

Fights in Underground are chaotic and claustrophobic; enemies lay traps, and you never know who you’ll encounter in the next room. Players can also add modifiers that make the mission more difficult, but also increase the rewards.

In addition to the new mode, Underground also comes with a new Incursion called Dragon’s Nest, a battle that is considerably larger than the free Incursions offered previously. In Dragon’s Nest, you’ll fight off the Cleaners as they try to cleanse the city with fire, causing more destruction in the process.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – Expansion 1: Underground releases. You can get it separately, or as part of Tom Clancy’s The Division’s Season Pass.
