Designing the Xbox 360 Dashboard

Some of the folks from the Xbox design team did a session recently for SIGCHI (a usability interest group in Seattle) on usability and the Xbox 360. Jason, one of the attendees, took some pretty detailed notes and has pictures of the session as well. You can see some of the dashboard concepts that were worked up as we developed the Xbox 360. Here is a very interesting factoid about the Xbox vs the Xbox 360:

On the original XBOX there were 45 screens that needed to fit on 250MB while on the new design and complexity of the system there were 450 screens. These screens had to fit on 2.5MB.
