I got an email last night from Bruce Dawson. Some of you may remember Bruce as the co-author of the console comparison that I posted after E3 2005. Bruce was thinking about 720p vs 1080p in ways that only a super-smart engineer can. Bruce provides a very interesting look at using 1080p in games at a geeky level that depending on your style you may throughly enjoy or iy may completely scare the pants off of you. The complete text from the email, along with some context, is available over at Andre Vrignaud's blog. Andre works on our Game Technology Group on stuff like this and started blogging this summer. If this kind of tech talk gets your blood going on a Sunday better then a strong cup of coffee, then Bruce (and Andre's) post is for you.
