A Closer Look at the FOX NOW App on Xbox One

At FOX, we love TV. Whether it’s on a flat-screen or smartphone or tablet or console – we love making TV, we love watching TV and we love other people who love TV.  So you can imagine how excited we are that our friends at Xbox One are huge fans of TV too, and have graciously invited us to introduce you to FOX NOW!

FOX NOW is our official viewing app, where TV junkies (and “responsible” casual viewers) can stream full episodes, exclusive extras and behind-the-scenes peeks at FOX’s series – and it’s available now at no additional cost on Xbox One.  If you’ve used our FOX NOW app for Xbox 360, you’ll notice that our Xbox One version looks different – it reflects a bold new design that makes watching FOX on Xbox One easier than ever before – so if you haven’t downloaded it yet, make sure to check it out.

Here’s why:

Full Episodes of FOX Series
With FOX NOW, Xbox Live Gold members who are video customers of AT&T U-Verse, Comcast, Cablevision, DISH, Verizon FiOS or one of the many other participating providers (click here to see the full list of participating TV providers and supported devices) can use their subscriber credentials to receive free, next-day access on Xbox One to all available full episodes of FOX’s new primetime series, including Brooklyn Nine-Nine (starring Andy Samberg), Dads (starring Seth Green), Almost Human (starring Karl Urban and Michael Ealy) and this season’s breakout newcomer, Sleepy Hollow (starring Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie), as well as FOX’s new Animation Domination High-Def late-night series Axe Cop and High School USA!. In addition, next-day full episodes of FOX’s returning hit shows, such as The Following, Family Guy, The Simpsons, New Girl, The Mindy Project and Bob’s Burgers are also available to Xbox Live Gold members with participating provider subscriptions. 

Xbox One users can also enjoy hundreds of short-form videos, such as behind-the-scenes cast interviews, performances from The X Factor and American Idol and special featurettes.

Watching TV should be easy, so we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality, most user-friendly experience possible on FOX NOW.  Some of the features you’ll enjoy as a FOX NOW user include:

  • HD Streaming – Watch our shows in beautiful HD.
  • “Pin” FOX NOW – Personalize your Xbox One Home screen by adding FOX NOW and FOX TV shows to your Xbox One Pins.
  • Continuous Playback – Watch one episode or clip and FOX will feed you more right after your initial video ends.
  • Kinect Navigation – Navigate the app with voice and gestures using the new Kinect sensor.
  • App Channels – Get quick access to FOX shows directly from the Xbox One OneGuide. FOX NOW’s app channels include Latest Episodes, Popular Episodes, Featured Shows and Show Extras.
  • Achievements and Challenges – Users can earn branded “Achievements” for completing certain activities within the FOX NOW app.


Coming Soon
What’s next for FOX NOW? First and foremost, more shows! Over the next few months, we’ll be adding episodes of new shows like, Enlisted, Rake and Lucas Brothers Moving Co., which we think Xbox One fans will love.

We’re also building in more personalization into FOX NOW, so in the near future you’ll be able to enjoy personalized continuous playback as well as a customized home screen.

In addition, users of both our Xbox One and Xbox 360 apps will soon have access to FOX NOW live-sync content for several of our series via Xbox SmartGlass, providing a really cool, immersive second-screen experience in real-time with our live broadcasts.
