Castle Crashers Fans Can Get the New Remastered Edition for Free

Fact: Every game that comes out of developer The Behemoth is pure, fun-filled magic. From the classic Alien Hominid to the upcoming Pit People, every one of The Behemoth’s games brings with it a wonderful and very recognizable sense of humor, hours of amazing gameplay, and the promise that you will have tons of fun from start to finish.

Castle Crashers
initially released in 2008 for Xbox 360 – is perhaps the studio’s biggest hit in all of those regards. And today, we’re proud to present Castle Crashers Remastered for Xbox One, which is a free download for all current Castle Crashers owners until September 20.

For the uninitiated:
Castle Crashers is a multiplayer sidescrolling beat-’em-up – just like all those arcade games that you used to pump tons of quarters into – in which you play as one of the four titular knights, out to save the kingdom from the antics of an evil wizard. Each knight packs a bevy of unique, themed moves (the red knight, for example, uses fire-based attacks), and as you move about Castle Crashers’ world, you earn experience points, level up and get access to a steady stream of new weapons and abilities. It gets even better when you add friends (up to three) into the mix for some fast, chaotic brawling action.

Once again, it’s free for current
Castle Crashers owners until September 20 (and just $5.00 after that!). The fine folks at The Behemoth have a special request for the Castle Crashers faithful, though: “You just got a lovely present: a free copy of Castle Crashers Remastered! Now, go spread the love and buy CCR’s best friend, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, for only $14.99!” Yes, that’s one more action-packed indie game that’s out today, and The Behemoth would love to pass the savings on to Lovers developer Asteroid Base.

You can – and should – pick up both
Castle Crashers Remastered and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime on Xbox One today. You’ll be in for a whole lot of fun!
