Coffin Dodgers is Bringing Darkly Comedic Kart Racing to Xbox One

For quite some time, we followed the Coffin Dodgers development and were really impressed with the zany creativity and imagination from the developers at Milky Tea Studios (I remember first spotting their art style from a Lloyds TSB ad, the one with the pointy nose characters). This is precisely why we teamed up with them to bring their darkly comedic kart racer to Xbox One.

Coffin Dodgers is set on the mean streets of a retirement village. Here, you have to help save one of seven old retirees on your very own ‘pimped-up’ mobility scooter, battling the Grim Reaper and his zombie army, who are out to harvest souls.

I couldn’t think of a better combination: a little old lady with a wicker basket on a modified pink scooter, firing an Uzi into the Grim Reaper whilst trying to avoid being wiped out by her friends’ EMP powered Defibrillator. And did I mention you can even unlock the Grim Reaper as your character and use his trusty scythe as a weapon?!

Milky Tea developed a game with a crazy “Road Rash” style of gameplay that features player-to-player combat using wacky weapons and collectible, destructive power-ups. What’s more, you’ll be able to play with your friends in a 2 to 4 player local multiplayer mode, where you can show off your buffed-up kart and get tangled up in epic crashes to cause mayhem. You can also unlock and upgrade your own scooters with XP you’ve earned in the Story Mode, choosing your mods carefully to suit your driving style.

Gamers will have their chance to race as one of the seven sprightliest OAPs (old age pensioners) when Coffin Dodgers launches on Xbox One in Spring of 2016.

Race in peace everyone!
