Super-powered MMO DC Universe Online Now Available for Xbox One

Today, DC Universe Online is officially available on Xbox One and we are beyond excited!

For those not familiar with the game, DC Universe Online (DCUO) is a massively multiplayer action game set in the DC Universe. In fact, it’s the only MMO that lets you fight against or alongside superheroes and villains like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Harley Quinn and more. In DCUO, you’ll visit famous locations like Metropolis, Central City, and Gotham City with your own hero or villain to save the world or to cause mayhem – whatever you’re into! Choose your powers and a mentor, customize your hero or villain down to the appearance of their shoes and hair, and get into the action!

DCUO first launched in 2011, which means you – our Xbox One players – have five years of content available to play through starting tomorrow. This includes the addition of 23 Episodes, content that features storylines from all corners of the DC universe – anything from The Joker to Green Lantern to New Gods to Legends of Tomorrow-inspired content. Plus, you have 14 power sets at your disposal, like Fire, Electricity, Earth and Ice, as well as the ability to customize Bases and Lairs, join Leagues, and so much more.

Folks have been asking for DCUO on the Xbox for a long time – I can’t even count how many times fans have posted or tweeted about the Xbox One version. We started the development process for bringing DCUO to the Xbox One almost immediately after our transition to Daybreak Games, and it’s awesome to see it all come together. As this is the first time Xbox players will get to completely immerse themselves in the DC Universe, we wanted to celebrate. As an Xbox One DCUO player, you will get access to three exclusive items for free when you download and play the game: Powered-Up Emblem, Powered-Up cape, and the Vapor Aura.

DCUO is an ever-expanding world and we have much more content in the pipeline. Players can expect to see Darkseid make his debut in DCUO and an all-new Harley Quinn storyline inspired by the Gotham Girls and Gotham City Sirens! We also have Water Powers in the works – a healer and damage-based power set inspired by Mera’s aquakinesis and Aqualad’s hard water constructs.

DC Universe Online is available now as a free-to-play download (for more info on getting a DCUO membership or purchasing content, head over to www.dcuniverseonline.com). We can’t wait to see you in game!
