Deathstorm Comes to an End in Sniper Elite 4 on July 18

In his hunt to uncover the secret Nazi nuclear project Deathstorm, agent Karl Fairburne must neutralize a Kriegsmarine facility and infiltrate a fascist stronghold in Deathstorm Part 3: Obliteration, the conclusion of our three-part Sniper Elite 4 adventure that takes place after the main campaign.

In this chapter, we’re bringing Karl back to Germany for the first time since Sniper Elite V2. In the sleepy Bavarian town of Steigerloch, intelligence suggests a heavily guarded underground complex lies hidden from sight — the nuclear project Deathstorm is being researched at that facility. The war and society as we know it rests on this mission; Karl must bring down Deathstorm, once and for all.

Obliteration is a suitably epic finale to the Deathstorm campaign and we can’t wait for you to play it on July 18. To make things a bit sweeter, if you purchase Deathstorm you’ll also unlock six new Axis characters to use in multiplayer. We’ll also be releasing the Lock and Load expansion pack for those of you looking for more firepower, featuring the SVT, M30 Drilling, and Mauser M712 firearms. There will also be oodles of other stuff on the same day that will be free!

For those looking for a new challenge, the Authentic Plus difficulty will have what you need. With fewer display aids and relentless enemies, you’ll have to work very hard to unlock the two additional achievements tied to it.

We’re also introducing two new multiplayer maps. The Facility map for Survival, inspired by the Magazzeno Facility mission from the main campaign, and the Bunker map for adversarial multiplayer, which draws from the Allegra Fortress campaign mission. That takes us up to seven free maps and two free multiplayer modes that we’ve added since launch. If you’ve not yet checked out Elimination and Capture the Flag, now would be a great time to!

And for the hardcore multiplayer fans among you, we’ll also be introducing Elite ranks to Sniper Elite 4, which means we’re effectively raising the level cap from 50 to 250. There are of course all the tweaks and adjustments we’ve made since launch (you can find more about them here). In our upcoming update, we’ve got one of these that we know a lot of you have been asking for: we’re introducing the option to choose your rifle’s scope reticule.

Thanks to the Xbox One’s firepower we upped the ante with Sniper Elite 4. We’ve loved seeing you be creative with your sniping and stealth in our massive Italian maps, and like many of you, we think we’ve made the best Sniper Elite yet. Thank you so much for your support this year — it makes our jobs a real pleasure.
