State of Decay 2 Early Access Starts Today
Today, fans who purchase State of Decay 2: Ultimate Edition will get a head start to surviving the apocalypse before the May 22 global launch with early access on Xbox One and Windows 10. In addition to four-day early access, State of Decay 2: Ultimate Edition includes two add-on packs: Independence Pack and Daybreak Pack (available at a later release date) on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The Independence Pack will let you celebrate independence with new vehicles, weapons and gear that have been modified to give you patriotic new ways to mow down zombies; while the Daybreak Pack lets you take the fight to the zombies in an all-new game mode that introduces a new map with new siege facilities, missions and a variety of events including the challenging new “Horde” mode. The Ultimate Edition will also include a download token for a bonus copy of the console version State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition.
State of Decay 2 is the ultimate zombie survival fantasy, where it’s up to you to decide how to survive in an open, post-apocalyptic world. Building off the monumental success of the first game, State of Decay 2 is a true sequel that takes everything you loved about the first game and greatly expands on it. Featuring unique survivor characters with their own backstories and motivations, and expanded options to manage your community and develop your base.
In addition, State of Decay 2 features one of the most requested features from the community: cross-platform co-op, where you and up to three of your friends can survive together on Xbox One or Windows 10 PC. As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you’ll get both versions with one digital purchase and be able to switch seamlessly between them, as all game progress, Gamerscore and Achievements are saved on and accessible through Xbox Live. On May 22, State of Decay 2 will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.
