The Walking Dead: The Final Season Available to Pre-Order Now, Coming to Xbox One August 14

It’s officially the beginning of the end. Earlier this week we launched the first trailer for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, and now the full season is available for pre-order on Xbox One for $19.99.

Episode one of four will arrive on the Microsoft Store August 14, but if you pre-order the game any time between now and then, you’ll not only receive access to each episode of The Final Season as it becomes available, you’ll also receive The Walking Dead Collection – The Telltale Series for Xbox One immediately. Like, right now! For free! (the pre-order period and this offer ends on August 14.)

The Walking Dead Collection contains all 19 existing episodes in the award-winning series, including the most recent season, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, as well as visually-enhanced versions of Season One, Season Two, horror anthology 400 Days, and the three-part Michonne mini-series. It’s the perfect way to catch up before Clementine’s dramatic journey comes to an end later this year, though you can absolutely enjoy the upcoming season even without having played the earlier games.

When The Final Season picks up, Clem has spent years on the road facing threats both living and dead. A secluded school might finally be her chance for a home, but protecting it will mean sacrifice. Clementine must build a life and become a leader while still watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. Ultimately, your decisions will determine how her story ends.

In addition to crafting a gripping, emotional narrative for The Final Season, we’ve also improved many of the series’ core mechanics. A new over-the-shoulder camera system, greater freedom to explore detailed environments, and scenes with unscripted combat will capture the fear of living in a world overrun by the undead and create the most engaging Walking Dead game yet.

That’s all we can share for now, but if you want to see more, be sure to catch us at E3! To do that, simply follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visit thewalkingdeadgame.com. You can also tune into Mixer’s E3 live show Tuesday, June 12 at 12 p.m. PT. See you then!
