Borderlands 3 Arrives September 13 on Xbox One, Watch the New Trailer Today

Hey there, Vault Hunters! Hundreds of thousands of you tuned in to our PAX East Panel last week to watch the very first footage of Borderlands 3 debut live on stage, and while we couldn’t have been more thrilled and touched by your overwhelming enthusiasm, we kept hearing one question over and over: when is it out?

So we’re back with another major announcement: Borderlands 3 launches on September 13, 2019 on Xbox One. That’s right – 2019! Not only that, but we’ve got another brand-new trailer to show you too. It’s right up there at the top of this post, in case you missed it. Go watch it!

Borderlands 3

Finished? Cool, then let’s talk a little more about what Borderlands 3 is all about. For starters, it’s not a battle royale game. It’s a Borderlands game. That means bazillions of guns, extensive skill trees, deep customization options, and intuitive co-op. It also means badass Vault Hunters. We’re extremely excited about our new crew, so how about some introductions?

Shoot and loot as Moze, a nimble soldier who can digistruct a giant mech; Amara, the Siren brawler who isn’t afraid to throw a punch; the hitman Zane, who incites chaos with crazy gadgets; and FL4K, the nomad robot with a variety of helpful pets. Take on the galaxy solo or join up in co-op, online or on the couch, to maximize the mayhem.

By the way, do you like guns? Well your favorite weapons manufacturers are back and better than ever. Whether you like taking down your enemies with tracking bullets, toggling through various firing types on the run, or melting your foes with elemental damage, there is a weapon for you. Need something crazier? We also have firearms that spawn mini-volcanoes and guns that sprout legs to chase down your enemies while hurling insults at them. It’s awesome.

And that’s not all! There will also be multiple planets and side destinations for you to explore, new and returning characters for you to interact with, new vehicles for you to crash into stuff… We can’t wait to share more about this brand-new mayhem-fueled adventure in the coming months.

For today, though, we just want to mention one last thing: pre-orders! If that’s not your thing, then no pressure! But if you’re interested in scoring extra loot, here’s what you can expect. If you pre-order any version of Borderlands 3 on the Microsoft Store, you’ll receive a gold weapons skins pack to add bling to all your guns.

In addition to the standard edition of Borderlands 3, there are also two special editions available on the Microsoft Store. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and five additional bonus packs, chock full of cosmetic goodies, weapon skins (including that gold pack), boost mods, and more. Need even more loot? The most hardcore of Vault Hunters can purchase the Super Deluxe Edition. This one includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus the Season Pass, which will deliver four campaign DLC packs featuring new stories, missions, and challenges and a Butt Stallion cosmetic pack, for the ultimate Borderlands 3 experience.
