World of Warships: Legends Introduces the French Nation

World of Warships: Legends

World of Warships: Legends announces their first major update following their August Release! Players can experience a new nation with new ships, commanders, and playstyles. In this update, the French Navy arrives with the French Cruisers leading the way and the French Battleships appearing in early access.

The French Cruisers represent the core of the new French Navy and are true speed demons! Designed within the limits of the inter-war naval treaties, the French cruisers were endlessly optimized! As an example, the Émile Bertin is capable of rocketing around the seas at an absurd 39 knots! She also packs nine high-velocity 6-inch guns, giving it a mean punch. This trend follows for most of French cruisers: high speed, excellent guns, and efficient designs. C’est La Vie!

The French Battleships available in early access are both sleek and powerful. Their defining feature has to be quadruple-gun turrets! These battleships can deliver intense salvos on their unfortunate enemies! The Tier VI Lyon even carries four quadruple turrets for a ludicrous 16-gun broadside! Coupled with solid maneuverability, the Lyon can unleash a devastating broadside on a distracted enemy with little to fear in return! Like the cruisers, the battleships are fast and able to respond quickly to incoming threats, making them some of the most adaptable battleships in the game.

To serve as captains for these new ships, a bunch of new French Commanders have been added. These new commanders will help players improve their French ships and bring a ton of new skills and traits to make even more powerful combinations possible!

The in-game port moved to Marseilles, one of the key French ports in the Mediterranean! Marseilles was destroyed during the Second World War, but the in-game port was recreated as if the destruction never happened!

Alongside the release of the French Navy there is a new campaign running for the next 3 weeks! The French Connection campaign gives players the chance to earn more commanders and rewards! Get various consumables, boosters, progression items, and Francs by completing the campaign tasks. Francs can be used to try to get early access to the French Battleships like the Lyon, or used on a wide assortment of new items in the Admiralty section of the in-game store. This time around, the Admiralty Backing will massively increase the rewards from the campaign and will supply the player with one of the new French Commanders at the end! The French Connection is the perfect way to begin building your French fleet.

But the French aren’t the only new addition…

German Battleships also make their way out of early access in this update. Players can now work their way up to the legendary battleship Bismarck at Tier VII! The German battleships are quite a force to be reckoned with and now everyone can get their hands on them! Designed for close combat in the North Atlantic, the German Battleships are monstrous brawlers, angle against your enemies and get close to punish the opposition!

Now players also get to individualize themselves through the new patch system. Patches are a way to add a personal touch to your in-game appearance. Patch parts can be earned through crates, campaigns, or other events. Players can develop their own patch by combining backgrounds and symbols to show off their achievements and style to every enemy they destroy! Make yourself an unmistakable presence with a unique image!

The update also brings a ton of quality of life improvements, balance changes, and 4K support for the Xbox One X! Sail out in glorious 4K resolution to experience the high seas like never before!

All this with more to come in the months ahead! Stay tuned for more news about World of Warships: Legends!
