World of Warships: Legends is releasing Ranked Battles and more! The November update is packed with player-driven content including Ranked Battles, new maps, and UI improvements. Of course, there are Black Friday events ready to go with Black Edition ships, Premium time, and tons of other items are on sale for the event. There’s a lot to unpack, so let’s get started.
Ranked Battles provide players with new opportunities for even more intense and competitive battles. By adding substantial rewards for participating in the Ranked sprints, every match has an impact. Players can earn unique camos, premium time, patch parts, and more just by making their way through the ranks. Ranked Battles will be defined by intense 7v7 matches with high stakes. It is possible to lose ranking; however, some ranks will act as milestones that cannot be lost. Each time a player wins a Ranked battle, they will earn a star towards achieving the next rank — but if they lose a battle, they lose a star. Every battle has an impact in Ranked, go out there and climb to the top!
There are two sprints of Ranked Battles planned. The first one features Tier V ships; the second will feature Tier IV ships. These competitive battles will test the skill of players, ranging from preparing their ships and commanders to destroying their enemies. It’s sink or swim in these Ranked sprints, make it to the top for the best loot and the prestige of standing among the best!
The update is just in time for Black Friday! World of Warships: Legends will have an epic sale and some exclusive deals to celebrate. Notably, there will be three Black Edition ships on sale for a discounted price compared to their regular counterparts. Selected from the most popular premium ships, the three Black Edition ships are the Warspite B, Scharnhorst B, and the Atlanta B. These “Black Edition” ships have a sleek, jet-black skin that make them stand out on the high seas (or disappear at night)!
The Warspite B is a Tier V battleship armed with accurate and powerful 15-inch guns. She is a reliable battleship with good all-around characteristics. Scharnhorst B is rather different, she is an up-close brawler armed with Torpedoes and rapid-fire guns. This layout gives Scharnhorst B a satisfying high-risk high-reward playstyle! The Atlanta B is the unique one of the bunch. The Atlanta was the reward for completing the first campaign and is known for being covered in dual 5-inch gun turrets. Her guns are bound to start fires on any unfortunate enemies!
Black Friday will also bring deals on other premium ships, various items bundles in-game, and it’s the best time of the year to purchase premium account! Players that participate in Ranked Battles and the celebratory events will also receive the Black Friday Containers, which have a good chance of getting one of the Black Edition ships!
The Mercenaries & Legends Bundle is also still available! This cross-promotional deal with World of Tanks: Mercenaries features eight heavily armored war machines at an unbeatable value.
Apart from these major additions, there are also a bunch of player-driven changes. Notably, a filter in the port! This will help players organize their fleet by their favorite ships, Nation, Tier, or ship class. Also, there were some large balance changes: Tirpitz and Vanguard received improved citadel protection, and some other German battleships had their maneuverability decreased. Three new maps are appearing as well, bringing players to new locations! Plenty of small changes to improve the experience in-game are here as well.
It’s a lot for November, but there’s even more to come in December!
