Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio, a Great Challenge, Full of Nonsense Humor and Retro Goodness
Today is a great day for the indie games lovers. The little gem Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio is ready to land on Xbox One!
Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio is a fixed screen (remember those?) action/platformer that will make you travel through a crazy mansion.
You control a weird guy called Tcheco trapped in a cursed castle where you can only expect the unexpected (it’s probably the only place in the world where you’ll see a demon hanging out on a soccer field).
To escape this demonic nightmare you have to go through many locked rooms and the only way to move to the next one if find the right key!
Fortunately for our hero his friends are there to help him: Pepito, his loyal dog, will help him to achieve higher platforms and Maicon will restore some of his lost health.
A special guest from another game will also come to help Tcheco on his crazy journey: Oniken’s star, Zaku!
Unfortunately for them scary enemies live inside the castle. Zombies, demons, Frankenstein’s monster, the devil himself… all of them are waiting for our hero in the dark.
There are 65 stages on this game but you’ll probably spend just a few seconds on each location. You never know what will happen next… You must be focused as you’ll always face new enemies and dangerous challenges.
At the first stage you will only need a key to get out of a room. The further you go, the more complicated the challenge will become. You will need 2 or even 3 keys to go to the next chamber!
Based on a Brazilian underground TV cartoon, Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio is an indie title full of humour and classic video games references. A critically acclaimed platformer that the Italian publisher Fantastico Studio is finally bringing to Xbox one.
The game features retro pixel art and original chiptune music made with software used to create 8-bit homebrew games. The limitations of the old consoles have been respected and taken very seriously, to offer the player an experience very close to the original 80s classic games mood.
The controls are minimalistic, all you need to do is jump, go left and right. Seems simple? Well, because it really is! Sounds easy? Well, it shouldn’t! At first the Tcheco in the Castle of Lucio might not seem very dangerous, but leave it is a task for skilled players. During the game you will have to try the same room several times, but every time you replay the level you will feel like playing better.
Despite his look our hero is surprisingly athletic. He can swim, ride a skateboard and fly using jetpacks. It is ready to explore a huge castle and if you like what you have just read you are probably ready to do it too!
