Hitman 3 Arrives on Xbox Series X and Xbox One in January 2021

Agent 47 is back – and it feels so good to say that!

Hitman 3 is the next game from IO Interactive and the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy. I’m excited to share the first details of what to expect when Hitman 3 arrives on Xbox Series X and Xbox One in January 2021. Agent 47 returns as a ruthless professional in Hitman 3. He is supported by his Agency handler, Diana Burnwood and his long-lost friend, Lucas Grey. Together, their mission is to hunt down the partners of Providence – an organisation that 47 and Grey promised to destroy. These are the most important contracts of Agent 47’s entire career and when the dust settles, the world he inhabits will never be the same again.

The Hitman 3 campaign will take you around the world on a globetrotting adventure. You’ll visit sprawling sandbox locations, where you’ll hunt down and eliminate your targets using stealth and style, or action and aggression. It’s up to you. Hitman games have always given you the choice of how to play – and we celebrate every playstyle. There is no ‘wrong’ way to play.

No matter your approach, our locations will react. Guards will react if you get hostile and you’ll be escorted out if you get caught trespassing. Take disguises to infiltrate new areas, distract characters to clear your path, overhear their conversations to gain intel and interact with the game world in new ways. Our locations create a living, breathing world that you can explore and experiment with until you perfect your approach.

Hitman 3 will be the ultimate place to play every game from the trilogy. It will be possible to ‘import’ locations that you already own from the previous two Hitman games into Hitman 3 – and you will be able to carry over unlocks and progression from Hitman 2 into Hitman 3.

That means you will be able to play the entire trilogy, including 20+ locations, from within Hitman 3. We also have a unified progression system in Hitman 3 that works across all locations, basically allowing Agent 47 to grow his tools of the trade no matter what location he is in.
