Last month, we celebrated the two year anniversary of State of Decay 2 with new weapons, clothes, gameplay improvements, and more. We’re happy to continue supporting our community of over eight million survivors playing State of Decay 2, and are excited to share details about our new Plunder Pack and Green Zone updates.
First, for those who aspire to see Zombies vs. Pirates, we’ve collaborated with our friends at Rare to expand our buccaneering options with the new Plunder Pack! This pack adds Sea of Thieves-themed weapons, outfits, hats, and one seriously salty vehicle to the game. All nine of these wonderful items are available by completing bounties for the Bounty Broker. For survivors who have already joined a crew in Sea of Thieves, you’ll also notice as part of the latest monthly update for the Pirate Emporium, there is also the undead-themed Blighted Ship Set.
Additionally, for players looking to ease into the post-apocalyptic experience, we are happy to announce the Green Zone. The Green Zone is a more relaxed, accessible apocalypse, designed for those who’d like to explore what’s possible in State of Decay 2 without enduring quite so much stress. Within the Green Zone, enemies do less damage, maintaining the community becomes easier due to cheaper crafting and more resources from scavenging, your Stamina lasts longer and more. You can try out the Green Zone by either starting a new community and choosing Green Zone at the difficulty picker, or you can move an existing community to a Green Zone map by opening the Difficulty Screen and selecting “Green Zone.”
Both the Plunder Pack and the Green Zone are coming to all State of Decay 2 players. For those haven’t joined our survivor community yet, State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition is available with Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. How will you survive?
