Xbox Insider Release Notes – Xbox App for Windows [2204.1001.3.0]
Hey Xbox Insiders! We have our second April update for the Xbox App preview.
We will continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to the app. Details can be found below!
App Update Details:
- Xbox App version released: 2204.1001.3.0
- Gaming Services version released: 3.64.15002.0
- Available: 10:00 a.m. PT – April 19th, 2022
New Features and Experiences
We have exciting news! Users can expect something new coming to their Xbox App Preview.
New Features
- Added a splash screen that shows progress for game launches, which includes signing in, installing updates, and syncing cloud saves.
Fixes Implemented
Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce the following fixes have been implemented for this app update:
- Fixed an issue where the Xbox app doesn’t recognize new drives during game installation.
- Fixed a bug that causes touch-enabled cloud games to crash when “more options” button is selected.
- Fixed several bugs that result in games being fully redownloaded when updating
