Xbox Insider Release Notes – Xbox App for Windows [2205.1001.6.0]
Hey Xbox Insiders! We have our final May update for the Xbox App preview that fixed a crash causing bug.
We will continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to the app. Details can be found below!
App Update Details:
- Xbox App version released: 2205.1001.6.0
- Gaming Services version released: 3.65.8001.0
- Available: 9:00 a.m. PT – May 18th, 2022

Fixes Implemented
Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce the following fixes have been implemented for this app update:
- Fixed an application startup error on file paths with special characters
