Xbox Insider Release Notes – Xbox App for Windows [2206.1001.5.0]

Hey Xbox Insiders! We have our second June update for the Xbox App preview.

We will continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to the app. Details can be found below!

Xbox Insider Release Notes

App Update Details:

  • Xbox App version released: 2206.1001.5.0
  • Gaming Services version released: 4.66.2001.0
  • Available: 10:00 p.m. PT – June 9th, 2022

New Features and Experiences

We have exciting news! Xbox Insiders can expect something new coming to their Xbox App Preview.

App Performance

  • This build includes performance improvements especially for areas with high network latency. Please provide feedback by taking the very short survey available on the Xbox Insider Hub.

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce the following fixes have been implemented for this app update:

  • Fixed an issue where the number of days on the Game Pass expiration banner was incorrect
  • Fixed an issue where friend adds were sometimes not working
  • Fixed an issue where a ‘show all’ button was incorrectly appearing in the EA Play Channel
  • Fixed an issue where a channel sometimes does not load content correctly
  • Fixed an issue where on initial start, the Game Pass home page is missing content
