Unleash Your Wild Side in Fortnitemares 2022
Fortnitemares returns to Fortnite! Visit DJ Lyka at the Reality Tree, challenge the Cube Monsters in Zero Build Horde Rush, complete special Quests for in-game rewards, grab some unvaulted items, and more! Fortnitemares 2022 will end on November 1 at 2 AM ET, so be sure to hop in and complete your Quests before then.
There’s also a rumor of a new foe who set up camp at Grim Gables… See if you can defeat him to obtain his Mythic weapon! (You may want to bring friends.)
Hone Your Senses
During your raving adventure, be sure to stop by some Alteration Altars. Findable at the Reality Tree-turned-dance party (but also scattered across the island), these Altars will bestow upon you the Ritual Emote. Activate this Emote to be granted the Howler Claws for freeing the beast within!
Here’s a breakdown of your wolf abilities with the Howler Claws equipped:
Track Your Opponents with Wolfscent
Howl to activate the Wolfscent Ability, giving you the ability to locate nearby enemies. Lasting a limited time before entering a cooldown, this ability repeatedly marks enemies in a nearby radius. If no enemies are in the radius, Wolfscent will immediately enter its cooldown period. Enemies will be aware they’re being tracked, so stay true to your senses!
Slash Away
What’s a wolf without claws? With the new Slash Ability, you’ll be able to perform a ferocious four-combo melee attack.
Air Slash Away
Additionally, your claws can be used to perform the Air Slash Ability, a double-jump that damages opponents upon landing.
Release the Horde
Horde Rush returns… in Zero Build form! Zero Build Horde Rush sees you and your teammates take down hordes of monsters without the safety of building. Collect score multipliers, earn combos, survive at different locations, and brave the Final Boss.
Zero Build Horde Rush will be available until well after Fortnitemares ends. (Specifically: November 15 when downtime for the v22.40 update begins.) After Fortnitemares ends, look out for Horde Rush Quests you can complete for a special in-game reward…
Seize Your Fortnitemares
You’ve learned about the upcoming Horde Rush Quests, but there are also general Fortnitemares Quests! These Quests will send you to Fortnitemarish places like Grim Gables, have you use the unvaulted Candy and Pumpkin Launcher, and challenge you to party it up. Complete Fortnitemares Quests to earn XP plus some pleasant surprises.
Fortnitemares Candy Plus the Pumpkin Launcher
Two Fortnitemares Quests will become available daily over the course of 14 days. For completing five, you’ll unlock the Everything’s End Glider. For completing 13, you’ll unlock the Chrome Cage Back Bling. And for completing 25, you’ll unlock the Unmaker Pickaxe. The Quests will be available to complete until Fortnitemares ends on November 1 at 2 AM ET.
