Easing back into reality

Yea, Maui was great. I don’t want to bore you with the details but it was truly one of the best vacations I have ever had. If you get a chance to go to Maui or ANYWHERE in Hawaii…do it.

Some highlights:

1) Maui is not cheap (A gallon of milk? Only $7.99!)
2) The best diving company is Ed Robinson’s Diving Adventures. These guys are first class all the way, know the Maui diving like no one else and are truly head and shoulders above the rest.
3) Don’t bother going to the Haliimaile General Store restaurant. It’s over priced, the service was terrible and it has the atmosphere of a cafeteria.
4) Other then diving (and running into whales and spinner dolphins), driving up to Haleakala to watch the sunset is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. ever. Here is what I believe to be the first picture of Master Chief above 10,000 feet. (yes…it was very cold)

I have over 600 photos thats I took, but I dont’ want to waste everyone’s time / bandwidth with them. I may go through them and toss up the best of the best. (Like the shot of the whale going UNDER our dive boat)

All in all this was a great trip. I have a LOT of catching up to do..over 1000 emails to read through, and countless blogs to catch up on, but thanks to everyone that emailed me with tips and suggestions.

(While not Maui specific, I know a lot of my readers are into gadgets like I am. If you are looking for a portable GPS solution, you must look into CoPilot Live. I used the Smartphone version and it worked PERFECTLY. I never got lost once…I just set it and drove. CoPilot Live’s GPS status screen is what I used in the screenshot above. )
