Feel-Good Fishing RPG Moonglow Bay Anchors on October 7
Moonglow Bay is launching October 7 for Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10, and with Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC; it’s a catch you won’t want to miss! Cast out your line and prepare for an epic, yet touching, journey of community, friendship and some pretty addictive fishing.
Here are some of the tastiest things you need to know about this beautifully retro fishing RPG.
Cooking what you catch
You’ll also need to learn to cook what you catch if you’re going to help rebuild The Bay’s community and economy. You start the game with some simple recipes like Fish Cakes and good old fashioned Fish and Chips, but will eventually be able to cook more exquisite cuisine like Skate Noisette and Honey Balsamic Glazed Mahi Mahi. Once you get the hang of it you’ll be giving chef Ramsey a run for his money (only, you know, nicer…).
It’s like real cooking, but with fewer steps, it’s less messy and there’s no pressure of Instagram shame if your meal isn’t exactly perfect because it wasn’t invented yet! A simpler, purer time.
You can fish ’em all!
There are over 100 different types of aquatic species to catch in Moonglow Bay and they are awesome! As you begin to explore The Bay and the surrounding seas you’ll start to discover the incredibly colorful (and sometimes mythical) array of fish you can catch.
Getting Deep
As you work to explore, fish, and rebuild the community, your character begins to confront some of their buried feelings about the loss of their partner. This subtle theme creates some of the game’s most authentic moments. It’s refreshing to find such an uplifting game that isn’t afraid to touch on some of life’s darker parts while helping to normalize the feelings and reactions that come with that.
This is just a taste of what you can expect from Moonglow Bay. There are plenty of waters and emotions deep enough to match this enriching and rewarding RPG. Basically, it’s got all the feels and we’re here for it.
