Xbox Insider Release Notes – Omega (2302.230130-2200)

Xbox Insider Release Notes

Hey Xbox Insiders! We have a new Xbox Update Preview coming to the Omega ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Details can be found below!

System Update Details:

Note: This update may not occur automatically before it has already become mandatory. You can always find the most current update as soon as it is available by navigating to Settings > System > Updates.

New Features and Experiences

We have exciting news! Omega users can expect something new coming to their Xbox Update Preview.

Parties & Chats – Recent Parties

We now offer a two-click way to jump back into a recent party! You can now see a list of your recent parties, choose one and edit the roster, send invitations to selected users, and restart a party. You can also invite users from recent parties to the current party you’re in.

A random subset of users will find “Recent Parties” below the “Start a party” button on the “Parties & Chats” tab. For others, click on the “Parties” button on the “Parties & Chats” tab, then from there, start a party or choose from a list of recent parties on the new page.

Personalization – Background

Gamers now have the choice to keep their background a solid color at all times by toggling “Use game art” in the “Solid color and game art” options.

Settings – Power Options

Users will notice new options related to their power settings on the console with today’s update. You can learn all about these changes here: Xbox Is Now the First Carbon Aware Console, Update Rolling Out to Everyone Soon.

Xbox Insider Hub

Beginning with this update, RING users who do not have the Xbox Insider Hub app already installed will notice it has been added by default. To learn more about the Xbox Insider Hub, visit: Get the Xbox Insider Hub app.
