ID@Xbox Game Fest: Xbox One X Enhanced Games

With the Xbox One S and Xbox One X video games now have the ability look better than ever with 4K Ultra HD visuals. There are now more than 200 games that feature Xbox One X Enhancements and independent developers have provided some fantastic contributions. To celebrate how far gaming has come, ID@Xbox Game Fest will feature over 35 of the best Xbox One X Enhanced, 4K, and HDR titles available. Now is a wonderful time to stock up on content to show off that fancy new 4K TV with games like:

Ark: Survival Evolved – Stranded on the shores of a mysterious island, you must learn to survive. Use your cunning to kill or tame the primeval creatures roaming the land, and encounter other players to survive, dominate… and escape! Playing Ark: Survival Evolved on an HDR display in a dark room truly provides a dramatic “you are there” feeling where the world’s dark jungles and bright sunlight have a wide intensity range. At nighttime, you can also make out a lot more detail thanks to the increased color accuracy. This vibrant output enhances your natural survival instincts! Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice – Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover. Created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will pull you deep into Senua’s mind. The developers at Ninja Theory wanted to give players the option to enhance Hellblade in the way that they want. Enriched Visuals mode offers increased visual richness throughout the experience, such as additional fog, foliage density, shadow quality, and higher resolution textures. High Framerate mode runs the game at a silky smooth 60fps. This is for players who choose smoothness of the action over higher resolution. High Resolution mode runs the game with dynamic resolutions that scale throughout the game up to 4K. This is for players who are happy with 30fps and want to see just what their Xbox One X can do when partnered with a 4K TV. Learn more about the work put into enhancing Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for Xbox One X here on Xbox Wire.

Killing Floor 2 – Descend into continental Europe after it has been overrun by horrific, murderous clones called Zeds that were created by rogue elements of the Horzine Corporation. The Zed outbreak caused by Horzine’s failed experiments has quickly spread with unstoppable momentum, paralyzing the European Union. Only a month ago, the first Zed outbreak from the original Killing Floor ripped through London; now the Zeds are everywhere. Civilization is in disarray, communication networks have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. But not all have given up hope; a motley group of civilians, soldiers, and mercenaries have banded together to fight the Zed outbreaks from bases across Europe. When an outbreak is detected, the players are sent into Zed-laden hot zones to exterminate all threats using whatever means necessary. Welcome to the Killing Floor. Look forward to clearing hordes of Zeds and bosses with enhancements for 4K support, increased resolution (1080p upscaled to 4K), increased performance, high-resolution textures, shadow maps, and increased shadow fade out draw distance.

Hand of Fate 2 – A dungeon crawler set in a world of dark fantasy. Master a living board game where every stage of the adventure is drawn from a deck of legendary encounters chosen by you! Choose wisely – your opponent, the enigmatic Dealer, will pull no punches as he shapes you into the instrument of his revenge. The table has changed, but the stakes remain the same: life or death! Defiant provides a couple modes on the Xbox One X: native 4K and 1620p. They can be locked to solid 30fps or unlocked (with framerates ranging from 45-60fps depending on resolution). The unlocked FPS mode uses adaptive vsync to handle screen-tearing. Xbox One X owners will also see a bunch of enhanced image effects.

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide – The world is ending… though few believe it. The once proud city of Ubersreik now stands in ruin at the hands of the dreaded Skaven army. Few have survived their ruthless invasion. Team up with 3 friends and work together to thin out the ratmen’s forces and drive them out of the city. Assume the role of one of five heroes, and hack, slash, smash, burn and pierce the vile Skaven using a multitude of weapons. Fight your way through the city of Ubersreik, from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire. This is our last stand and only you can stem the Vermintide. Updates to Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide have brought native 4K render support, improved anti-aliasing and shadow casting, more detailed textures, and a sharper image for an improved visual look. The stronger CPU power allowed Fatshark AB to run the game in a more consistent framerate for a smoother game experience.

Everspace – An action-focused single-player space shooter, combining roguelike elements with top-notch visuals and a captivating story. It takes you on a challenging journey through an ever-changing, beautifully crafted universe full of surprises. Your skills, experience, and talent for improvisation will be tested continuously as you piece together the puzzle of your existence through encounters with interesting characters, each having their own unique part of the story to tell. Recent updates have provided the option of rendering in native 4K at 30 fps or with 60 fps and an improved level of detail distance settings as well as better shadow, shader, lighting, and VFX quality in native 1080p.
