Take a Closer Look at Elden Ring, Now Available for Pre-Order on the Xbox Store

Yesterday, fans got their first look at gameplay from Elden Ring, the highly anticipated action RPG from the minds of “Game of Thrones” author George RR Martin and FromSoftware visionary Hidetaka Miyazaki. Over the course of a 15-minute video, the team shared a bit about the game’s story, environments, combat, and much more. Players will take on the role of a Tarnished that must battle through hordes of enemies in an attempt to become The Elden Lord.

The video showed off a closer look at Elden Ring’s vast world design, with the meticulously designed Lands Between bringing unprecedented immersion to FromSoftware’s largest game to date. We also got our first look at the game’s Legacy Dungeons, which are large, multi-level dungeons that evoke classic FromSoftware level design seen in games like Dark Souls.

Adventure and danger await any Tarnished daring enough to enter The Lands Between and attempt to claim themselves The Elden Lord. Elden Ring releases on February 25, 2022, on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and the team announced some pre-order bonuses and several special editions for fans who want more than just the game:
