Xbox Insider Release Notes – Xbox App [2311.1000.50.0] and Game Bar [6.123.11012.0]

Hey Xbox Insiders! We are releasing a new Xbox App for Windows build and a new Game Bar build to Xbox Insiders who are enrolled in the PC Gaming Insiders preview! This is the second 2311 build released! Continue read to learn about new features, fixes, and known issues. Make sure that you update the Xbox app, Game Bar, and Gaming Services to ensure you get all of the great fixes below!

New Versions of PC Gaming prerelease products:

Xbox App version: 2311.1000.50.0

  • Available: 5:00 p.m. PT – November 3rd, 2023    

Game Bar version: 6.123.11012.0

  • Available: 5:00 p.m. PT – November 3rd, 2023

Current versions of Windows Gaming prerelease products:

Gaming Services version released: 16.82.1001.0

  • Released: 5:00 p.m. PT – November 2nd, 2023    

New Features:

  • Refreshed UI in the installation queue
  • Refreshed button, font, and game channel styling
  • Improved notifications UI, including an option to show unread only
  • Compact mode for the app that improves the experience on handhelds and small screens
  • Improved controller navigation across the app

Xbox App Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed multiple UI scaling issues within the Xbox App
  • Fixed an issue where there may be errors launching the Xbox app on a fresh install of Windows
  • Fixed an issue where you might see frowny face errors when unlinking certain accounts through the Xbox App
  • Fixed issues where the UI might not scale properly as the window is resized
  • Fixed several issues around text alignment and UI issues
  • Fixed an issue where Narrator might not correctly read folder paths in Settings

Game Bar Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed several behind-the-scene issues
  • Fixed several issues around the way text is displayed

Known Issues:

  • [XBOX APP] The team is aware of a few specific errors when view sales and is investigating
  • [GAME BAR] Certain games my appear twice in Game Bar
  • [GAME BAR] The team is aware of an issue that is causing certain crashes when typing in party chat and is investigating.
  • [GAME BAR] Users may rarely see errors when trying to login after recently logging out.
